Fashion design studio with dress forms, rolls of fabric, sketches and a rack of colourful garments

A complete fashion designing programme

The Diploma in Fashion Designing is an intensive two-year programme designed to give you the essential skills and knowledge to work in the fashion industry or start your own label. Instead of choosing one craft, you study all of them – and see how they fit together, from the sketch on paper to the finished garment on the dress form.

Because the diploma includes Regular Tailoring, it begins with the fundamentals. It then moves through specialization, embroidery, dyeing, illustration and draping, and finishes with portfolio development and internship assistance so you leave with work to show.

Subjects included in the diploma

Every subject below is also available as a short course if you only want to learn one skill.

01

Regular Tailoring

Sewing-machine skills, measurements, pattern drafting and garment construction.

02

Specialization Modules

Bridal wear, kids’ wear and advanced patternmaking.

03
